Announcement: VMware 'Tanzu Build-a-Thon' competition
VMWare, a partner organization ICTAK, is organizing first of its kind coding competition on Modern Apps - " Tanzu Build-a-Thon". The programme is free of cost and involves e-learning, technical boot camps on modern app development and mentoring by experts.
What is Tanzu Build-a-Thon?
Build-a-thon is a unique competition for students where they can learn modern application development by attending bootcamp and building an app with the help of a mentor.
The "Build a Thon" is comprised of three different phases:
👉 Concept Building - Students will learn the basics of modern apps design using spring boot or python flask
👉 Developing an App - Students will work individually or on a team to create an app on the Tanzu Application Service. Mentors will be available to help them through the process
👉 Pitching their App - students will have to “pitch” the app they have built using Spring boot or python and deploy it on Tanzu
VMware Tanzu enables the developers to build, run and manage Modern Apps.

👉 Event Schedule:
- Event Launch: Date 8th March 2021
- Last Date of Registration: 11th April 2021
- 3 weeks Boot camp: (12th - 18th April 2021)
- 7 Days Project Build-a-Thon: (20th - 8th May 2021)
- Top performer announcement: 24th May 2021
Online meeting with colleges to brief about Build-a-Thon
A Gmeet discussion is scheduled on March 30, 2021 at 3.00 pm to brief the colleges about build-a-thon.
